Guest Reviews

Guest reviews are one of the most important tools a hotel could have. Used the right way it will, for sure, help to provide a better service.

In the Hotel Avenida Palace, we value all reviews and try to reply in time to all. The biggest player in terms of reviews is, of course, TripAdvisor. With over 65 million visitors, TripAdvisor holds the higher part of online reviews but it is not the only one, Expedia, Booking or Google+, all have a share of our attention.

Another important “channel” to get reviews is the Customer Satisfaction Survey available in the room. Recent numbers stated that around 15% of guests fill it, a number that will, certainly, increase in the next years.

At the Hotel Avenida Palace we monitor all reviews in a daily basis and use them to learn, to teach and to improve the quality of our service.

“Pop the Question” at the Avenida Palace

Unfortunately not always, but sometimes we have this wonderful surprises.

A recent guest chose the Avenida Palace to propose marriage to his girlfriend. We weren’t informed of anything and no special request was made. It only came to our knowledge this week through TripAdvisor.

TripAdvisor?  Why TripAdvisor, you may ask. Well, as it turned out, both guests decided to share their experience at the Avenida Palace in this famous review’s Website, and they both highlighted the marriage proposal, making their stay even more memorable and the Avenida Palace impossible to forget.

The Avenida Palace wishes all the best to this young couple and hopes to receive them again in the future, but now as Mr & Mrs…….

We must praise your Hotel's superb location for touring and restaurants. Everyone in the Hotel was helpful and courteous to us. The stay was perfect except for these 3 small things - pillows were too soft, must provide a range of other hardness pillows; the hangers in the closet were the non-removable types and should use those that can be removed; the hairdryer provided is very old and slow. All in all, a very good stay indeed! Obrigado!

A fabulous experience at Hotel Avenida Palace. I do have one suggestion. The bed and pillows are too hard. Feather pillows and a softer bed is typical in a 5 star hotel. A feather or soft foam top over the mattress would soften it for a perfect night’s sleep. Other than that detail, the Palace is heavenly. Thank you for helping make our visit to Lisboa a memorable event. We now plan on returning yearly and will definitely stay at the Hotel Avenida Palace.
