Lisbon celebrates 2016!
2015 is about to end and, as usual, Lisboa celebrates the New Year in Terreiro do Paço with a show of the best homegrown music and the traditional firework.
In this Christmas Season, downtown Lisbon is full of events and entertainment. Apart from the Christmas Market, there are Christmas lights throughout Chiado, Rossio and Rua Augusta, the giant Christmas tree in Rossio Square and this year, for the first time, 4 days of free concerts will be held in the Terreiro do Paço.
From December 31st through January 3rd these are the Portuguese artists who will perform in one of the most beautiful squares in the world, with a fabulous view over the river:
- Trovante
- Richie Campbell
- Carminho e António Zambujo
- D.A.M.A.
- Orquestra Geração
- Banda Sinfónica da PSP
- Sinfonietta de Lisboa
At midnight the sky will light up with its fabulous, traditional firework.
