Rock in Rio Lisboa 2012

Rock in Rio is the biggest music and entertainment event of all times, with 10 editions held in Brazil, Portugal and Spain which gathered nearly 6 million people.

Using music as an universal language that unites people all around the world, Rock in Rio is a form of communication, from emotions to causes. One of its pillars is the Social Project, launched in 2001, in Rio de Janeiro. The Project “FOR A BETTER WORLD” was born, through music, to draw the attention of people and sensitize them to help improve social conditions through simple everyday actions.

From 2006, the organization found that environmental issues were also urgent and promoted several actions on Climate Change and Sustainability. Over the past 10 years, Rock in Rio has generated EUR 5.103.354,43 for various socio-environmental actions. This is proof that resolution and commitment to small actions in everyday life can actually make the world a better place for everyone.

This year, the event will bring to Lisbon names such as Metallica, Linkin Park, Lenny Kravitz, Bruce Springsteen, among others and, as usual, will take place in “Parque da Bela Vista”.
